Charles and Ray Eames
Charles Eames was the father of modern classics furniture. He was a top American furniture designer who made a deep impact and major contribution in the world of graphic and modern classics furniture. Eames was recommended by the USA military aircraft in 1946 to design the first pilot seat. He created new techniques in furnitures disigns.
Charles Eames introduced the technology of fiberglass, reinforced plastic, mesh wiring, wood moolding and polywood furniture products. Some of his collegues were the top furniture designers of the 20th century such as Florence Knoll, Harry Bertoia, Eero Saarinen and Ray kaiser who become his wife (Ray Eames).
Charles and Ray Eames both worked together and teamed up with other top furniture designers and won nationwide prizes. Eames was inspired by his architectural and graphic designs to introduce the relevant technologies and apply them on his furniture designs. Some of the most iconic modern classics furniture created by Charles Eames.
